IRI plans and proposes advertorials for media such
as domestic and overseas newspapers, magazines and other publications
with the aim of conveying the "real voices" of management
to the investor community. Leading financial magazines such as Fortune,
Economist, Forbes and Euromoney are regarded as a perfect medium
for illustrating the "value" of companies to investors,
either directly or via commentaries from analysts and other experts.
IRI has also formed alliances with respected international business
publications, enabling Japanese companies to deliver their IR message
to investors around the world. In February 2009, IRI also launched
the new IR magazine, "ZIPANGU."
In addition, we plan and produce business and annual reports for
distribution to shareholders in conjunction with companies' shareholder
meetings. Annual reports provide a wealth of information, not only
for shareholders but also for business partners, customers, and
even students. Given the growing share of Japanese companies held
by foreign investors, English-language annual reports, investors'
guides, financial results briefings and other IR materials have
become an essential source of valuable information.
Meanwhile, we are engaged in a publishing project designed to introduce
Japanese companies to the global audience. Called "Japanese
Business - The Human Face," the project is part of an alliance
between IRI and Penguin Books, a world-renowned publisher. It involves
compiling the histories of major companies into books, which have
proven effective tools for international IR activities. Taking advantage
of IT advances, we are also expanding our menu of communications
services to include construction and maintenance of websites.
